Trepidatious Defined

Most people will say that trepidatious is not a word, but I started saying it a few months ago in limited context, which led me to research the situation. It turns out it is a word, just not a very well-known one. The meaning is fairly self explanatory, as follows:

trepidatious (adjective) : Aware of a sense of trepidation; fearful
I was feeling quite trepidatious about that job interview, so I had a quick brandy to calm my nerves.

I think the best streetwise definition I've seen is "a combination of nervous and excited". That works.

As to why I chose it for my blog name...I haven't a clue. I'm not creative enough to come up with something totally cool or unique, so I just picked a weird word I sometimes use to describe my mental state.
