It turns out it is a word, just not a very well-known one. The meaning is fairly self explanatory, as follows:<br /><br />trepidatious (adjective) : Aware of a sense of trepidation; fearful<br />I was feeling quite trepidatious about that job interview, so I had a quick brandy to calm my nerves.<br /><br />I think the best streetwise definition I've seen is "a combination of nervous and excited". That works.<br /><br />As to why I chose it for my blog name...I haven't a clue.
